Healing
Crystals - April 2006
Crystals and Gemstones have been revered
for there healing properties for thousands of years. Now
in the last few decades, crystal healing has seen a huge
resurgence and people are beginning once again to look to
natures store cupboard for remedies for all sorts of ailments.
A crystal can be utilised in a number of ways for the purpose
of healing. The stones can be place on the relevant chakra,
directly onto the source of the problem or can be gently
circled over the affected area. Crystal Healing Wands are
readily available on the market today and come in a huge
variety of stones, so you can pick one directly linked to
your need if necessary, or you might chose to pick a wand
made of a stone for general healing.
Crystals can also be placed under
the pillow, in a healing pouch or poppet, worn as jewellery
or simply placed in a pocket. Crystals can be placed directly
into the bath or maybe into a sink for a healing boost to
your morning wash.
You might like to also place warming stones of orange and
yellow on the Altar in honour of the strengthening sun.
Sunstones would be perfect. Amber, Jaspers, carnelians,
citrine and sparkling goldstones would also be an appropriate
addition.
Important
Note For Dealing With Toxic Crystals
It is important to note that if a crystal
contains any toxic element, for example Malachite,
then this should not be placed directly into the water,
but first placed inside an airtight sealed container.

This
rule must always be followed with regards to friable (crumbly)
gems such as lepidolite, and water soluble crystals like
