meet one and all and welcome to the Crystal Cavern! I'm
Moonstorm or Nyssa, I'm 22 and I have been interested
in the craft since the age of about 15. I finally began
to consider Witchcraft as a religion and a way of life
when I reached 20 and on the 1st March 2004 I performed
a self dedication ritual and have enjoyed learning and
developing, spiritually, ever since.
From the time when I was a small child I have been fascinated
by the beauty and magic of crystals and gemstones. My
Great Uncle was a jeweller and used to give me pieces
of gems which were not suitable for his work. Tiny pieces
of blue lace agate, shimmering tigers eye, amethyst and
aventurine to name a few. I would feel the cold stones
in my hands and wonder how such a vast variety of colours
and textures could be possible.
As I was growing up, I would often buy different gems
in souvenir shops while on holiday. I loved to visit Lyme
Regis and its rock and fossil shops.
When I started to seriously become interested in witchcraft,
I became aware of the extent of the potential of these
magical objects and avidly started to collect them. From
Rose quartz to Moonstones to more unusual rocks such as
Angelite and the enigmatic, illusive Martian Moldavite,
I was hooked!
In the Crystal Cavern, I hope to share with you some of
the wonder and magic of these stones and reveal their
secret properties and powers. I will explain the myths
and folk lore of the stones, how they were used in days
gone by, and the many ways in which they can be used today.
