Cleanse your Crystal in the usual way.

Place your crystal in the white cloth with the jasmine flowers and salt and half of the chocolate. Tie the cloth into a pouch with the green ribbon. As you do this, say:

Crystal clear and chocolate white,
Jasmine blooms so pure.
Rid me of my troubles past
And a fresh start ensure.

Visualise all of your past doubts and constraints being absorbed into the pouch where the cleansing energies will disperse them. See yourself free of the past and ready for the new and all the joy the season will bring you.

Take your pouch to a natural moving body of water, a stream, the sea, a river and cast it in. As you do so, know that the water will carry your energy and wash away any past fears, worries and negativities you may have. (If there is nowhere in your area suitable, bury the pouch in the earth off your property.

Leave the rest of the chocolate as an offering to the Goddess and the God or as a gift to the local wildlife.

The Magic Of Quartz

Quartz is one of the most common minerals to be found on Earth and is a natural form of silicon dioxide. Its day to day uses include glass, electrical components, optical lenses, ornaments and building stone. Sand on the beach is also largely made up of quartz!

Quartz is sometimes called the Timing Crystal on account of its ability to create an electrical signal with precise, regular frequency. This is why it is used in clocks and watches and even some radio sets.

It also is a beautiful gemstone which can be worn as a jewel or used in magic. Interestingly, many other commonly used gems belong to the quartz family. The agates, citrine, amethyst, tiger's eye and chalcedony varieties all belong to the quartz group.

There are many varieties of Quartz, from calming soothing rose quartz, to the grounding earthy smokey quartz. Quartz may have interesting inclusions, such as tourmalated and rutilated varieties.
