Another interesting stone is called Daphnite. I have not come across this gem myself, however, it is said to encourage communication with the plant world and enhances gardens and plants. It is recommended especially for herb gardens and for use by those involved in agriculture. Bright Green Phrenite is also a good stone to place around herb gardens.

Moonstone is also used in garden magic. If you are planting seeds, watering or potting plants, wear a piece of moonstone jewellery. Moonstone also helps trees, and attaching a moonstone crystal to a tree will help it to be strong and healthy, and if you have a fruit baring tree, it will encourage a bountiful harvest! Cunningham recommends burying a moonstone while visualising a healthy and fertile garden blooming with life.

Garden Protection Charm

This charm can be hung out to ensure your garden and plants are safe!

You will need:

Rowan Berries
Bay Leaves
Red Cotton or thread
1 Tigers eye
1 Black Chalcedony or Onyx
Items needs for a garden protection charm
Carefully thread 5 rowan berries onto the red cotton, then thread on one bay leaf. Repeat in this pattern until the thread is the desired length, leaving about 30 cm's at the bottom. Next carefully tie the tigers eye crystal with the red thread about 15 cms from the end. (You may need to add a dab of craft glue to make it secure, then at the bottom tie the chalcedony crystal, again using glue if necessary.

While making your charm visualise strong protective energies and see your healthy garden, free from pests and dangers.
The finished 'Garden Protection' charm.
You can now hang your protection charm in your garden, maybe from a tree branch. As you hang your charm out you might like to say some words such as:

Berry, rock leaf and thread,
Protect this garden and all who tread.
Tree and plant, bird and Bee,
The charm is cast, so mote it be.
