PROTECTION BOTTLES

By Whitewitch

These protection bottles were posted by me on Moonshadows Forum, but I think I'll add them to my spells section for reference. I made the Home Protection Bottle for myself after my recent move. In my old house I'd had some troubles and I wanted to protect my new home from harm. The problems I had in my old house really shocked me and broke my heart and vowed I would never be hurt like that again. The old house bore sad negative memories for me, and no matter how much I smudged the negativity away something would always remind me of the past and the dark blackness would rear its head again...so a new house, a new area and a new start was desperately needed.

I couldn't wait to move, normally I would be the one ordering the removal men around, making tea and buying them cakes, but I needed to go, so on the Sunday before the big move I went to our new home and left the old me behind, I said by goodbyes and tears to Sox & Becks (two of my cats that I loved and lost whilst in that house) and headed off with Posh & Sparky, it was like a weight of darkness being lifted from me and I was being watched with such encouragement, the goddess was moving with me and I felt elated. We reached the new house and I blessed the lord and lady and gave thanks for their support, (ok Posh wasn't too happy and the smell in the car on the way up was unbearable, but I was happy).

Since moving I decided to do a house protection spell bottle. Since early times witches have mainly done spell bottles to protect their homes, some are hidden under floorboards or buried near the front door, others are left on windowsills. I find it quite sad that these seem to be rarely made today, however I use them quite a lot.

House Protection Bottle/Jar

You will need:

1 glass jar with a cork stopper or a jam type jar is fine.
Salt
3 cloves of garlic
9 bay leaves
7 tbsp dried basil
4 tbsp dill seeds
1 tbsp sage
1 tbsp anise
1 tbsp black pepper
1 tbsp fennel
1 bowl
Whitewitch's, House Protection Bottle
In the morning, ideally of a bright and sunny day, assemble all items.

Place the salt into a bowl and say:
Salt that protects, protect my home and all within it.

Add the cloves of garlic to the bowl and say: Garlic that protects, protect my home and all within it.

Crumble the bay leaves, place in the bowl and say:
Bay that protects, protect my home and all within it.

Add the basil and say:
Basil that protects, protect my home and all within it.

Add the dill and say: Dill that protects, protect my home and all within it.

Add the sage and say: Sage that protects, protect my home and all within it.

Add the anise and say: Anise that protects, protect my home and all within it.

Add the pepper and say:
Pepper that protects, protect my home and all within it.

Add the fennel and say: Fennel that protects, protect my home and all within it.

Mix together the herbs and the salt with your hands. Through the movement of your hands and fingers, lend energy to the potent protective items. Visualize your home as a shining , safe, guarded, secure place of santuary. Pour the mixture into the jar/bottle. Seal tightly and place in your home or bury with the following words:

Salt and herbs, nine times nine, guard now this home of mine

It is done.

I thought to myself that this is a new fresh start the turning of the wheel/page, I needed to make sure that no-one with negativity or harmful intent would enter my home or the people / animals who live within it, so my protection bottle began. I purchase a spell bottle with cork and filled it with the ingrediants as listed above and repeated the lines five times, 1 for the home, 2 for me, 3 for my husband, 4 for Posh and 5 for Sparky, whilst mixing the ingredients in my hands I visualised brilliant white and blue light surrounding us all and protecting us from harm and guarding the house. I then filled my bottle whilst still visualising, once the cork was placed the spell was done, so mote it be and I gave my thanks. The bottle sits on the fire place, the heart of the home, I may in time bury it near the front door yet, but we'll see, but just looking at the bottle gives me peace, and I shall do more of them yet...so watch this space.
