An Dagda The Dagda, or An Dagda, is the chief God of the Tuatha de Danaan. Dagda means "The Good God", not in a moral sense but in the sense of being a good Father to his people, and also good at just about everything! The Dagda has a club that can be used to kill or restore life. His cauldron supplies neverending amounts of food and can also restore life to the dead. He owns a harp which can play tunes to call forth the different seasons. According to legend, every Samhain, the Dagda joins with the Morrigan. He is the father of Brighid and Danu.
