We
arranged to meet outside the Tourist Information place on High
Street, which was a beautiful old building that was really easy
to find. |
|
Whilst
waiting for the others to arrive Whitewitch and Moonshadow did
some window shopping, although neither of them actually bought
a window! Moonstorm arrived, and then there were three. Some
of the shops visited are at the end of the photos.

We
decided whilst waiting for Tyto and Katbookworm we'd get some
lunch and warm up a bit, so we found a pub and had a meal. Whilst
we were frequenting the King William the rain began and stayed
for almost the rest of the day. At the end of the meal I called
T & K and they'd arrived in Glastonbury, horray! So we arranged
to meet them outside the Chalice Well. |
|
Joined
by Tyto, Katbookworm and their Helen we all entered the Chalice
Well and then the rains really fell! Did it deter us? No! We
carried on with out visit regardless. Our first stop was King
Arthur's Court, what a wonderful place. Tyto bathed her wrist
in the Pilgrims Bath situated in King Arthur's Court and felt
the benefits of that for the rest of the day.

This
is the waterfall in King Arthurs Court, the energy at this spot
was incredible. Apologies for this photo, make of it what you
will. despite the rain and the torrential downpours during the
whole of the visit this was the only area that had any strange
little blobs in the picture. Some people describe them as orbs,
others say that it's dust or water vapour particles. |
|
Moonshadow
collecting water from the waterfall. you can see the rain drips
on her jacket and in the water behind her feet. Just above her
head on level with the middle step there is a bright light that
is moving upwards. It could be a raindrop but you'd expect the
rest of the photo to be covered with them given the rain at
the time? A close up of this 'orb' is on the forum.

Next
stop was the Lion's Head, this is the area that people are encouraged
to drink from. Moonshadow did just that. The water here is of
the highest quality. The red colouring is due to the high iron
content in the water which imparts a strange but pleasant taste
to the water. Moonshadow drank from the Lion's Head and the pain
that she had been experiencing from her hernia went away for the
rest of the day. She also reports that she felt refreshed, relaxed
and energised. |

Moonstorm
having a quiet moment at the Angel Bench on route to the source.
Candles and incense had been lit by previous visitors that gave
out a wonderful vanilla scent. Mind you it took Tyto, Kat &
Moonshadow about 10 minutes to figure out that was where the
wonderful aroma was coming from, after sniffing every flower
in the surrounding borders!
