Glastonbury April 2004

Whilst out noseying around Glastonbury, we decided to visit the Chalice Well, you can park at the Rural Life Museum for Free, just a short walk to the Chalice Well you enter up the cobblestone path under the living archways of plants entwined around the oak pergola, you feel you leave behind all the manmade distractions.

Our admission was £5.40 for two and I also purchased a small bottle which you ask for for £0.60p. We walked up the cobbled path to the "Lions Head" drinking area, you can see a piccie of me crouching down.

We then walked up passed the Chakra border and the Holy Thorn, look at the stunning tree, it amazed me how beautiful and peaceful it looked. We then followed the path to "The Well 'The Source'" and sat there reflecting and in peace.

From The well we then walked round back down to "King Arthurs Court" and I swished my hands around in the pool by the waterfall, it was so peaceful, I was truly amazed at its tranquility. Sunlight catches the waters flowing into the pilgrims bath The pilgrims bath in Arthur's courtyard.

The pool in King Arthur's Court is shallow these days, but in the 18th and 19th centuries it was much deeper, allowing for total immersion. It is now a place of quiet contemplation with the sound of the water fall creating a soothing background.

Whitewitch, reflects upon her visit to the Chalice Well underneath the yew trees.
I wanted to be there forever, if I had known about tying ribbons and notes to the yew trees I would have taken some with me to do my own healing wishing notes, however it's a point to note for anyone wishing to visit.
